Some forewords:

This is a guide I for the most part have created to practice the functions and the Gamepedia offers, so expects large number of various changes alongside being moved around quite a lot.

Becoming a True Elite War Hero[ | ]

So, you have now reached the “Elite”-stage and ready to participate in war-battles in which the setups aren’t symmetrically staged. Exciting, isn’t it?

But be warned!

You will be now facing two kinds of video-game-elitism: Your everyday slander spouted for the most part by very ignorant players.

And actual reprimand by the (most certainly) commander-players.

With this guide, you will be hopefully soon playing far more smarter than the slander-players while gaining the respect and possibly admiration of the commanders.

You see, in this game, to the (most likely) majority of (real) commander & general-players. there is only one thing that matters in War-battles / Elite-mode: Are you making profits to them?

They’re are (for the most part) seeing the battle success and failures in Warfunds, the fuel of war and (currently the only) universal source for the resources needed to fight the war. Without warfunds, there are no assault-teams. And without assault-teams, there are no battles to be won or lost.

One day you are also going to at the same point as these commanders; after all, that experience-points boost thanks to well fighting assault-teams is sure nice, so it is a good thing to start working to repay the favour to your “benefactor” as early as possible.

You, more than likely, simply have to learn to help others making profit to help you make you profit, as they say.

Becoming a Warfund Machine[ | ]

So, how does one make profit to commanders? Why, that is quite simple: Cause a lot of wreckage and terror to your opponents as possible. In other words, gain a lot of kills and vehicle-destruction.

Now, to all you “unskilled” and possibly very discouraged readers out there, do not worry: You do not need good “kill-death-ratios” or anything else similar! But, you might still end needing to work a little bit more than your average “master-players”. How “a little bit” depends all to yourself, for the most part.

Let’s get the most simple part out of the way first: Causing as little amount of expenses as possible. To put it simply, spawn only as Infantry and nothing else. Yes, do not even spawn a vehicle; use the bicycles or the mobile-spawn-chances whenever possible. And even then, do try to prefer the bicycles in overall. You’re asked to study and memorize the maps quite well in order to get into battles as fast possible. But it all will be very worth it.

For you see, this is where we get to basic of the “warfund-cycling”: Every player-spawned resource / “life” / ticket” holds a warfund-bounty: Whoever non-ally player kills or destroys the bounty-target grants the bounty-equivalent amount of warfunds to their battle-fuelling / resource-supplying-commander(s). Of course, if the target gets destroyed either via suicide or by the “nature”, the bounty is completely lost (or “denied” as commonly said in video-games); It is not however encouraged to kill & destroy your team-members in order to deny these bounties.

Here is the fun thing about this warfund-bounty-system (also known as "Assault team Battle Rewards"): The person with the most kills or points necessarily isn’t making be highest profits in warfunds; it can indeed be actually very opposite.

This is all dependant on what battle-resources you are using and are you both “repaying” them and perhaps making profit with it.

The more rare / slowly build resources carry higher bounty, in most of the cases. Therefore, you will need to work a lot harder with single life to repay the used resource.

Not only that but the higher your initial bounty is, the higher is your “thread-level”. Which therefore means you should be expected to be swarmed and quite quickly to be destroyed by skilled (and knowledgeable) players if you decide to play as a “giant-strategical-money-bag”.

Now we’re not going to into number-exact details. But the following “mnemonic” might help you with some quick math:

  • Moped is a half-a-man
  • Jeep is a quite a man.
  • Truck is a party-van full of bucks
  • Tank is a taxi Airborne is a train-bus
  • Plane is a team

It doesn’t rhyme, sure.

But it might make more sense once you have checked the more detailed “bounty-list” on the Assault-Team-page.

Most obviously the easiest way to generate warfund-profits is to run / cycle around as an anti-vehicle-infantry destroying every (enemy) thing you come across. And that pretty much is...if you are ready to give up your own personal-profits that is. If by this point it hasn’t been obvious or otherwise made clear enough to you, anti-vehicle-infantry certainly is expensive career, most certainly even negative-profitable to lower-rank-players.

But then again, you wouldn’t be playing in Elite-mode if you were here looking for personal-glory, right?..

Now go! Fight and destroy for your benefactors, and someday you will be praised as the fabled “fund-fairy”!
