Description

Even though this beast of a ‘light’ machine gun is old it is still very relevant in the Soviet army. It features a 100 round drum magazine and the weight of the gun makes it very stable when firing from a prone position.

Gameplay

The Maxim-Tokarev MT is the only Soviet Union machinegun that can kill enemies with 3 torso hits, even if the enemy is using Heavy Set Gold. It is recommended to use Tight Grip if the player feels the weapon is uncontrollable. The Hoarder badge can also be used as this badge will benefit this weapon the most than any other non-machine gun weapon in the game. Fast Reload badge can also be used since machine guns have longest reload time than any other automatic weapon.

It is one of three machineguns that the player can see the iron sights actually move when adjusting the range for the weapon. The iron sights look similar to the M1919A6 MG as they both have open top iron sights, but the Maxim-Tokarev MT has slightly taller sight columns (the 2 outer parts that make up the iron sight)

Additionally the Maxim-Tokarev MT is one of three other machineguns that can be modded to achieve 50 damage, the other weapons are M1919A6 MG and Johnson M1941 LMG.

Tips

  • Bipods should be deployed when possible while defending for increased stability and accuracy against incoming players
  • You can choose to use the Hoarder badge and not bring any pouches of ammo allowing for a wider load-out variety
  • If you bring a friend or friends all using this gun you can completely suppress the enemy
