Paratroopers are a class of light infantry which becomes available when the soldier reaches the 7th level.
And since it's paratroopers then they certainly have the ability to spawn from planes and parachute in.
But they have their drawbacks, a paratrooper only has 6 equipment points for weapons, while regular infantry has 10.
Paratroopers are the only class other than Generals who can use airborne assault teams on the Campaign Map.
Paratroopers also have their own unique weapon: FG42 for Germany, M1 Carbine for America.
Paratroopers also have a limited choice of weapons: they can not use rifle with a sliding gate (Bolt-Action rifles), grenade launchers and machine guns (FG42 is a machine gun especially designed for Fallschirmjäger - the German elite paratroopers).
