Will make a pet project for adding all ammunitions for tanks/planes into a separate page, full with images and descriptions + misc values. Then convert it into specific templates for use in different tanks/planes pages. --Brakke (talk) 09:40, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
- Reworking the mod system will be a big pet project :). Soon we will have some nice trans images of new ammo/mods etc so possibly hold off for a bit. There is word of a new wiki editing competition soon! I will endeavor to impress that we include work since T-build was introduced. --Africandave

- Well, as you might have noticed, I have found most transparent images already, so won't be a problem ;) --Brakke (talk) 12:29, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
- Yea it is nice! Did they some from the News feed? Most of the old GE/US soldier and vehicle ones I ended up trimming and making transparent myself :) --Africandave

Lend lease vehicles[]
So, how are we going to ad the lend lease vehicles? Just modify the existing pages to include them or ( preferably ) create just new pages with the same info, excl. images? Brakke (talk) 22:29, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
I think we can just make new pages for them, Trying to find ways to include the soviet image of vehicles in places would be too much of a headache. Same info etc and a mention that they are lend lease - the descriptions may be different too. As for naming the pages, they can be the same name perhaps with soviet or lend lease in title.--Africandave (talk) 01:49, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
And the Lend-Lease pages are there now. --Brakke (talk) 09:40, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
- Looks great! I can rename pages if anyone (reto included) has any mass-objection to what they are named re: lend-lease vs soviet etc.

Removing Camouflage Tables from Articles[]
- I guess you're right Brakke, they can stay. But they will need to have the gold prices updated and the credits prices added. -Nemotoad 09:18, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
- Well, they should all be changed (if they aren't already) into the new template, it is rather easy to just copypaste the template around the weapon page and camouflage page. F.ex. MP40 should be in the new template already. You can just copy those to camouflage page to replace the old 'hardcoded' tables. --Brakke (talk) 17:59, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
Removing Mod Sections from Articles[]
- I suppose we don't need to remove the entire section, but moving the recommended build and providing a link for them in the article, or putting the recommended builds in a collapsible table would make things a bit neater (some pages have gotten too long because of their modifications section). At the very least, pages like PTRD-41 need their modifications section cleaned up. It would help if we had a basic format that we could use in all mod sections. -Nemotoad 09:18, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
- True, it could be a single neat table from a template, with title, description and even the mods with images on them. Could look into this someday. --Brakke (talk) 17:59, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
- This is what I came up with. I created very quickly, so it's rather basic. Just want to know if you are looking for something like this. -Nemotoad 23:05, 21 September 2015 (UTC)

Adding instant-buy prices on ribbons[]
I'd like to add the cost to buy ribbons. I just did the one, War Victory Ribbon as an example. Before I continue doing others, I'd like to know what you think. I thought about including the experience per level as well, but that is static across all ribbons so it would just clutter the table.
Including it in the template (Template:CR_War_Victory) sounds like a terrible idea since these templates are used on various pages. Maybe the table could include an "unlocks" column, but that data is already in the template displayed above the table, so seems redudant. What do you think? Temahk (talk) 14:52, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
- All prices here in the wiki are (in theory) automated with different templates, so that when updates to the game changes the prices, all prices of the same thing get updated by just changing one in the template. And this is automated to a great degree, so ppl don't have to manually check the changed values. Now, the point with ribbons is currently that since we have no ID system set up for them, the price parsing template doesn't exist either. The Template:CombatRibbon was a project to implement all ribbons through one template (just like with weapons and vehicles) and with that, the pricing for all levels could have been included. If you want to create a table with the prices, I could look up to create the template in a form of {{PriceCreditsRibbon|id=xx|level=yy}} and you can find the ID's below. --Brakke
15:37, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
- Automation is great, that is how I'm getting the prices already. I'm sure you know that each ribbon and ribbon level have a different cost. Some or a lot might be the same, but for example the first level of War Victory Ribbon costs 6,500 credits, while the first level of Explosives Ribbon costs 6,100 credits. Would your PriceCreditsRibbon template be the lookup-table which contains all costs for all ribbons for all levels? And with the parameters you suggested you get a single value from that lookup table? If so, let me know the most convenient format for the table and I'll have it for you in an hour :) If I misunderstood your suggestion, please elaborate. Temahk (talk) 16:07, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
- Correct, it'll work that way, as the price object is tied to a ribbonID/level combination. It would be better in general to construct full tables in the parser side, like the Template:VehicleAmmo, but atleast I don't have enough time nor motivation for that. Will look into adding PriceCreditsRibbon and PriceGoldRibbon into my parser, and hopefully can get it here during the weekend. You are free to generate a table that works with those. --Brakke
17:12, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for the example. Really nice system you guys came up with! If you are willing to share, and your parser is not in some crazy exotic language, I am willing to help extend your parser if you don't have the time. Temahk (talk) 17:19, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
- I created Template:PriceCreditsRibbon and Template:PriceGoldRibbon. Sandbox/RibbonBuyTable is the template that uses the data. Examples are on the Sandbox page. The Price templates take an optional third parameter, "sum". If it's filled, it will return the cumulative cost. I don't know if it's possible for a table to sum values, which would be better since we wouldn't duplicate data then. Temahk (talk) 19:49, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
- I've been meaning to do this for a while but haven't really had the motivation to do it... It's nice to see that someone else had the same thoughts as I did. I'll see if I can find a way to nicely display the prices on the existing ribbon template or find a way to make your new templates a bit smaller. -Nemotoad 22:17, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
- Come to think of it, we could make the PriceCreditsRibbon and PriceGoldRibbon only include the cumulative price. When the "sum" parameter is supplied, we go into the switch and return whatever ribbon/level is requested. When the "sum" parameter isn't supplied, we return PriceCreditsRibbon|ribbonId|x - PriceCreditsRibbon|ribbonId|x-1 if x>1. If x=1, then only return PriceCreditsRibbon|ribbonId|x. This would cut the templates roughly in half. Temahk (talk) 10:59, 25 February 2017 (UTC)

Weapon IDs[]
Was lazy to name them as is, but ppl will get the point. Someone could update them into their respective pages. It gets more detailed when (if ever) I get my app ready that I can use to just update everything automatically.
- Looks great thanks for that, Do you think it best to name them simple like this? Eg File:1 US knife.png or ALL CAPS or something else? Will incorporate this new naming standard into this price template idea I have Price_Templates --

Many 'vehicletemplate' IDs do not match their vehicles' image numbers - the latter of which is actually used in wiki templates.

Weapon skin IDs[]
These consist of WeaponID and a dedicated SkinID, separated by an underscore "_", the WeaponID is there just to help ppl find them faster. Some things are unreleased, and others are just not buy-able ingame (like special Curse, IGN or XMas skins), but they are not being differentiated. So, I decided to just hide the names, but keep the ID's in order to manage the camotables where the images are being used, and manually add these special skins every time I need to re-run the automated generator for these ID's...
And now it is how it should be.
Think skins will be named as SKIN_WPN_SkinID.png for weapons. F.Ex. the MP40 Carbon Black would be named SKIN_WPN_161.png.
Trying to create a clean template for these camos, that will list the correct camos with just a single WeaponID.
--Brakke (talk) 10:36, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
- And maybe the current image naming format is good enough... WPN_weaponID_skinID.png for the actual weapon with skin and WPN_weaponID_skinID_s.png for the skin 'thumbnail'. Default skin omits the '_skinID' part. --Brakke (talk) 10:48, 6 March 2016 (UTC)

Uniform IDs[]
After too much of coding, here's a beutifully formatted list of all the uniform ID's. Will create a nice template to get uniform name and prices, then move all uniform images to follow these IDs. --Brakke (talk) 10:48, 6 March 2016 (UTC)
Still need to update this and the template. That is left for tomorrow tho... Brakke

Weapon Ammunition IDs[]
Doing a full rework of the weapon ammunition mod pages, might as well standardise the filenames of the whole bunch of images I'm gonna upload. MarineScienceDude (talk) 17:02, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
What a waste of time it was comparing the images when I could've looked in HnG_Ingame_en.xml! Anyhow, all of the weapon ammo IDs should now be here. MarineScienceDude (talk) 17:38, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

HnG_Strategy_en.xml this time. For now I can only see this being used for descriptions. MarineScienceDude (talk) 21:39, 7 October 2020 (UTC)

Adams - Ground Fire Update[]
- Need to fill out pages for new mobile AA guns.
-Nemotoad 01:03, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, someone just created the pages, for who knows why, and left them as is. All the new images were up on day 1, so go nuts. --Brakke (talk) 03:46, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
